ITC’s Well-being Out of Waste (WOW) initiative promotes awareness about the importance of source segregation and recycling, and establishes systems to ensure effective practice. It collaborates with local municipalities to train waste workers and rag-pickers in these concepts and to provide an efficient collection system that covers virtually all segments: households, offices, schools, hospitals, commercial establishments, etc.
- Purpose: To educate citizens, especially children, on the importance of separating dry and wet waste, thereby diverting it from landfills and promoting its reuse or composting.
- Origin: It started as a waste paper collection business to supply raw materials for ITC’s paperboard mills.
- Expansion: The program has since expanded to include other major cities like Bengaluru and Delhi, operating on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model with urban local bodies.
- Impact: WOW has contributed to a cleaner environment, created livelihoods for waste collectors, and fostered sustainable practices among various groups, including schools and corporates.

School Contact
We will work with School Administrations by Explaining the importance of 3R and Take Permission to do the Awareness and Collection Activities

Awareness Activity
We will give awareness to all the students regarding importance of 3R’s and Our responsibilities to maintain the cleanliness everywhere.

Collection Activity
We will collect all the old Notebooks, News Papers, Cardboard and Plastics from the students and give the the new Stationaries.
